Juniors

During the sessions the activities include shooting, coaching, preparation for competitions and playing archery games. All our Junior Members are encouraged to improve their shooting skills and to obtain a AGB handicap and classification. A Junior is anyone aged upto 17 and the membership fee for a Junior is currently £45.45* per year, inclusive of County, Regional and AGB fees.

Juniors can, of course shoot at the Club at any other time when there is an adult member of AGB present.

The Club runs competitions throughout the year and Junior Members are encouraged to join Senior Members on the shooting line. Distances shot are always appropriate for the age of the Junior Member and by using the handicap system, all juniors can compete against each other. Trophies are awarded at all the major Pendle & Samlesbury competitions to successful Junior and Senior Members. Handicap competitions are held every month throughout the year and certificates are awarded to the archer in each class who improved his / her handicap the most.

If you would like to become a Junior Member of our Club, why not join one of our beginners’ courses? If you are already a junior archer and would like to join us please click [How to Join].

Parents must accompany and if possible stay with children under 16 years of age. Parents or Guardians wishing to leave their children must leave their contact details on every occasion

We welcome all our Junior Members to the Saturday morning Junior Club at Nabs head lane.

The Bowmen of Pendle & Samlesbury Juniors were established in 2007 due to our ever growing number of junior archers taking part in the sport. Due to AGB organisational changes they have now been incorporated into the main club.
